Bridge to STEM
Bridge to STEM is a free, two-week program designed to help incoming CSU East Bay STEM students transition to college. This on-ground program connects incoming freshmen with fellow STEM students, introduces students to campus resources, and provides a review of foundational math and communication concepts. Organized and facilitated by CSU East Bay math, English, and General Studies instructors, the program also offers students 1 unit of college credit, which will be applied toward their degree.
Program Goals
Students in the program will:
- Identify communities of support at CSU East Bay, especially those relevant to STEM majors
- Enhance math and communication skills
- Gain confidence in navigating campus resources
- Learn practical skills and knowledge for succeeding as first-year students
- Build a solid foundation as STEM students at CSU East Bay
WHO. All incoming CSU East Bay freshmen who are interested in a STEM major are welcome to apply.
WHEN. Monday, July 28, to Thursday, August 7 (10 AM to 4:00 PM; weekdays only).
WHAT. If you complete the program you will earn 1 unit toward your degree.
WHERE. In person on the CSU East Bay Hayward Campus.
