We present our Theatre and Dance majors who were awarded university scholarships within the focus of Theatre and Dance.  Please see information further down for information on how to apply for a scholarship.

All CSUEB Theatre and Dance Majors are invited to apply for any of these scholarships/awards that you are eligible for. Please read the descriptions and requirements closely. You can apply for more than one

Each scholarship/award will be between $500 - $1,500.

 See below for information about each scholarship/award.

 

1) Leonard Libresco Endowed Award for Academic Excellence in Theater and Dance

The Leonard Libresco Endowed Award for Academic Excellence in Theatre and Dance is awarded to a Theatre and Dance Department major with a demonstrated interest in using the arts for social change.  The award is intended to help each recipient pursue an innovative artistic idea.  The recipients shall be enterprising and goal-oriented students with a superior academic record and a passion for intellectual inquiry and social change.

Awardees must meet the following eligibility requirements:

 - The student must be pursuing a major in Theatre and Dance with at least one term completed at the University.

 - The candidate must have a minimum 3.6 GPA.

 - Submission of a 300-word essay in which the student describes an artistic project that the student would like to undertake in the interests of social change.  

 

2) Carol Channing and Harry Kullijian Arts Education Scholarship

The Carol Channing and Harry Kullijian Arts Education Scholarship is awarded to students pursuing a degree in Theatre Arts, with a preference for Music Theatre.

To qualify for this Opportunity, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

 - Be currently enrolled full-time as an undergraduate or credential student

- Expects to enroll in at least the next Fall term. 

- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA

- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

 

3) Hunter/Rose Friends of the Arts Scholarship

 This scholarship is awarded to students pursuing a degree in Theatre Arts.

To qualify for this Opportunity, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

- Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate, graduate or credential student

- Expects to enroll in at least the next Fall term. (and does)

- Must be a declared Theatre and Dance major with a minimum 3.0 GPA
